Joseph T. Spaniola’s composition, THE FIRST STEP (Bassoon and Orchestra) received a Silver Medal from the Global Music Awards in the Composition/Composer category. The composition was recently released on DIMENSIONS Vol. 5 (Navona Records) and recorded by Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava (Czech Republic), Radek Joska, Bassoon, and Stanislav Vavřínek, conductor.
