Joseph T. Spaniola’s composition, UPLIFTED: Answering the Call (Wind Ensemble), was premiered by the US Air Force Band of Mid-America (Scott AFB, IL) during their six-city concert tour of Michigan. The tour started in Port Huron, Michigan on Saturday, October 7, 2017. The band commissioned this work from Dr. Spaniola in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of The US Air Force and to honor the Air Mobility Command which is headquartered at Scott Air Force Base.
